Talk to me, the last surviving cast-member of the ground-breaking hit TV series "Kung Fu" (1972-'75, and its re-runs which started in the '80s).
Before the Karate Kid and Mr. Miyage, even before Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan/Yoda, there was "Grasshopper" and Master Po - the philosophy and martial arts student/monk in dialog with his teacher who leaves China to wander the Old West in search of family and Tao.
Ask me anything from Buddhism to Blavatsky, impatience to serenity, David Carradine to Michael Landon, Coke or Kumbocha. I can go as deep as you want on a variety of topics - or we can just keep it light if you prefer (though that's harder for me).
I started my working life at the age of eight (in 1968) and worked in Hollywood over the next twenty years, most notably in the role mentioned above and as John, Jr. in "Little House on the Prairie", as well as many other unique guest performances and a lot of fun things behind the camera, too.
Had to reinvent myself in my mid 20's when Hollywood was done with me, as happens to 99.9% of all child actors when they grow up, and pursued another profession. In the late '80s I started All Systems Go! designing and installing home theaters and multi-room sound systems for everyone from Johnny Depp and Sharon Stone to Nicholas Cage, Robert Downey, Jr. and Ben Stiller - just to name a few.
Succeeded in this business for well over 25 years during which I also relocated to four different U.S. cities (Portland OR, Austin TX, Ventura CA, and San Diego) each time rebuilding a sustainable word-of-mouth network - no small feat in itself!
I retired from that second long-term self-made gig in 2015 and moved to France in 2017 with my second wife and our daughter, putting the finishing touches on my memoirs. Still looking for a good literary agent and publisher - no small feat either!
How may I be of service to you?
